GLOBAL NEWS RELAY

Global News Relay is an international collaboration of college journalism, multimedia and public relations students.

The 2017 Global News Relay topic was solution journalism which focused on character-driven, in depth stories of a response to a problem in the local community. 17 universities around the world participated in the 6-hour newscast. My package was selected to be featured in the broadcast. I also helped produce the show and did a on-camera studio standup.

Power Hour

This video project was designed to highlight people who make a difference in the community. PowerHour, the weekly workout at CrossFit Candor, is customized for any athlete who walks or rolls through the door. This local gym uses its workout program to impact the special needs community.

Requirements

For the video project, I coordinated the two interviews, shoot my own b-roll, wrote the script, and edited the piece using Adobe Premiere Pro software. The project also included an on camera ten second tease, 30 second Videolicious tease, and social media promotions on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
